LISTEN: Mario Lewis in conversation

Author of Chimurenganyana: Forest Notebooks, Mario Lewis, gives the low down on his shifts from a willing student in the school of Carnival to working with the breathing studio in the forest of Mamoral, Trinidad. Excerpted from a conversation prepared for the launch of ‘Black Echologies’, a series of practice-based notebooks produced by Chimurenga in collaboration with Nyabinghi Lab to challenge mainstream ecological discourse-its coloniality and exclusion of indigenous knowledge.
